Pearl deer

In front of a green wall hangs a golden chandelier out of thin air, filled with real candles. A shy deer happens to appear and is mesmerised by the luminous phenomena, mirroring back the golden light in the shadow of a purple tree. The tree watches how this unlikely situation catches fire in the museum visitor’s mind. The shadows are contoured by red and Mandelbrot was living between 20 November 1924 and 14 October 2010.
